The People’s Court and Judge Greg Mathis were both cancelled recently, which was pretty surprising to me. And, sure, it probably shouldn’t be—television is a business—but these are two shows that have been on for decades and more importantly, cheap to make!

But all things must end, I suppose. Court shows and daytime talk have been around my whole life and have been a part of my whole life. I watched them as a kid in the summers or if I was home sick. I watched them in college because I had mostly evening classes and when I just didn’t go to class, haha. I watch them now because I work from home. They really reached their peak in the 90s, it seemed like everybody had their own court show. It didn’t matter if you’d gone to law school or not, all that mattered is that you had a big personality and enjoyed making decisions for other people’s lives.
